# Privacy Policy

## 1. What We Collect

GitAnyUpdate collects minimal data necessary for the service to function:

  • GitHub Account Data: We access your GitHub profile, organizations, and projects through GitHub's OAuth. We do not store your GitHub credentials.
  • License Information: Your email address and license key for subscription management.
  • Machine Identifiers: Anonymous machine IDs to manage license activations (max 3 devices).

## 2. Google Sheets Integration

When you use Google Sheets sync:

  • We request access to create and modify spreadsheets in your Google Drive.
  • Data is transferred directly between your VS Code and Google - we do not store your spreadsheet data on our servers.
  • You can revoke access anytime via Google Account Settings.

## 3. Data Storage

  • Local Storage: Tokens and settings are stored locally in VS Code's secure storage.
  • Server Storage: Only license activation data is stored on our servers (AWS).
  • Retention: License data is retained for the duration of your subscription plus 30 days.

## 4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your data. We share data only with:

  • Stripe: For payment processing (email, payment info).
  • AWS: For hosting our license validation API.

## 5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Request a copy of your data
  • Request deletion of your data
  • Cancel your subscription at any time
